Many properties suffer poor water pressure throughout the home resulting in poor performance of showers and taps. Fitting a single ShowerPowerBooster pump near your hot water cylinder will give every tap better pressure and flow and typically it will add four times the pressure and double the flow of an upstairs shower.
Near the hot water cylinder it is often a convenient place to fit a whole house water boosting pump because of a close power supply and you can get at the pipes.
Our Pump has evolved dramatically since it appeared on Dragons Den and it is perfect for a professional fix with only basic DIY skills. It has a patented fail safe capability so it can fit to your existing pipework without causing obstruction to the flow of water should you have a power cut.
The cost of the pump is often the only cost as you can avoid plumbers and electricians although many plumbers and electricians fit our pumps. The ShowerPowerBooster can be safely fitted close to a hot water cylinder without the need to install a Surrey or Essex Flange, without risk of cavitation, or burn out.
Fitting A Shower Power Booster Near A Hot Water Cylinder
For most homes if can be fitted without the need to modify your existing pipework.
If you need extra room to fit the pumps because there are fittings and connections in the way the simplest way of modifying your pipework is to raise the horizontal pipe between the hot water cylinder and the vent pipe.
There are many other ways to achieve the space you may need to fit our pumps but please take regard to how your pipework near the cylinder needs to function.
1.0 Maintain the horizontal pipe to avoid heat loss into the loft.
2.0 Do not use plastic pipe within 2 metres of the cylinder as this is against Water Bylaws.
3.0 The vent pipe should be retained as it is vital to the operation of your system.
