Affordable Heat Stores
This 2 minute 57 second video explains the operation of a tank device which fits to the top of an existing hot water cylinder to create heat store. The device was validated by research at the UEA using 3 dimensional computational modelling which proved perfect thermoclines and therefore close to 100% efficiency.

Air Source Heat Pumps
This 2 minute 58 second video was produced before I installed a 5Kw Daikin Althena HeatPump using my existing hot water cylinder/ heat store. I am very critical of MCS design of heat pumps systems in this video.
My 5KW installed heat pump system lacks the new hot water cylinder insisted upon, the “upgrade” to 28mm pipework, the buffer tank, and extra radiators. With my new heat pump I enjoy 23 to 24 degree C room temperatures delivered by a heat pump costing £2 a day. This proves that 50% of the cost of a MCS designed air source heat pump system is for extras which are not needed. Extras that actually makes their systems inefficient.
