LOW MAINS PRESSURE PAGE 18 DIAGRAM 18.1
Why Boost your Mains Pressure
Boosting the mains pressure is so you can have a good flow for single tap or shower when the outside mains pressure falls and this is ideally achieved with a ShowerPowerBooster. If you have several people trying to take water from a shared service you could end up with everybody having lack of water as there is not enough water to go around. In such circumstances the shower power booster is the perfect solution. A ShowerPowerBooster will take and pressurise enough water for a good tap floor or shower floor without starving the rest of those on the shared service main. In fact several people plumping from the same service will be in breach of the Water Regulations.

We always recommend installing a SP21S double boost and using a configuration similar to that shown in diagram 18.1.

Cut out a length of pipe using a pipe slice (see below), insert the pre assembled pipe with pumps, tighten the compression joints, turn on the water, plug in the transformer to a standard 3 pin plug socket. Good to go.

When tightening the compression joints never hold on to the motor to stop the fitting turning. The best way to stop the fitting turning is to use adjustable
