Hot Water Cylinders
We are using the ‘same’ 210 litres cylinder as validated by the University of East Anglia. Simplicity is the key to achieving the maximum output from the hot water cylinder. For the pilot we are supplying copper cylinders with a standard 3/4 top fitting a bottom 22mm fitting and designed to accommodate a standard 3 KW/Hr 240 Volt immersion heater. The tanks will have 80mm of factory supplied insulation and is then wrapped with then wrapped with 3 to 5 layers of High-Performing Multifoil Insulation. This will achieve an insulation level such that the heat loss over 7 days will be 6 KW/Hr (36 Watts per Hour).

Immersion Heaters – and Blending Valves
These need to operate at up to 85 Degrees Centigrade with the consumer setting the output temperature as desired.

To prevent convection away from the hot water cylinder the 22mm pipe shall rise only one half turn of the bubble
