WHOLE HOUSE SOLUTION (GRAVITY HOT AND COLD)

Why Boost your Hot Only (Whole House)
A single SP2B will boost an entire house and for many homes you will only need to boost the hot. An average shower needs a mix of 2/3 hot to 1/3 cold so boosting the hot and cold looks after itself is a solution for the majority of our customers with gravity hot and cold.

Fitting of the SP2B next to hot water cylinder
You need to fit the SP2B next to the hot water cylinder and below the vent pipe. First check that the pipe that you are intending to fit the SP2B on gets hot when you run the tap or shower you wish to boost. Assuming it did get hot you need to check that you can fit the pump on a dry pipe.
To check that you can fit the pump onto a dry pipe turn valve B clockwise close. This valve will be somewhere between the bottom of the cold water tank and the bottom of the hot water cylinder. Closing this valve this will trap water within the cylinder itself.
Run the shower or the taps you want to boost and the water will stop within 10 seconds. Do not open taps downstairs if you can avoid this because you will get lots of air in the system.
If the water does not stop then you need to close valve A to stop water getting into the cold tank or close the stop tap on the incoming mains feed to your property which is normally under the kitchen sink. Continue to drain all the water in the cold water tank. You will need to take a trip to the plumbers merchant and buy a replacement for valve A. I recommend that you buy a lever valve.

Now you have a dry pipe the rest is easy. Cut out and remove a 110mm length of 22mm pipe at the position you want to fit the SP2B. Use a 22mm pipe slice (see below)

When tightening the compression joints never hold on to the motor to stop the fitting turning. The best way to stop the fitting turning is to use two adjustables
