At Shower Power Booster, we are proud to manufacture our pumps to the highest standards possible. That means, we’re approved by WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) which is awarded from the United Kingdom’s water regulators.
What is it?
The WRAS certification requires significant testing by independent labs and water suppliers.
According to WRAS, “any water fitting, which when installed, will carry or receive water from the public mains water supply in the UK, must comply with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations or Scottish Byelaws. These require that a water fitting should not cause waste, misuse, undue consumption or contamination of the water supply and must be ‘of an appropriate quality and standard’.”
The WRAS approval is a long and detailed process where every product has to be re-approved every five years. So, while an excellent indicator, the absence of WRAS approval doesn’t necessarily equate to the poor quality of a product.
Why is it important?
The WRAS approval process is rigorous and will give you the confidence that the product you’re buying is safe, legal and of the highest standard.
