Three Steps to Better Water Flow

Always isolate the water supply and read the full instructions before starting.

01Step 1

Choose a Location

Select an accessible section of pipework where the pump can be fitted securely and the electrical lead can reach the power supply.

02Step 2

Insert the Pump

Cut the pipe, fit the supplied compression connections and tighten while supporting the pump body with a second adjustable spanner.

03Step 3

Connect the Power

Restore the water supply, check all joints and then connect the pump to its supplied power unit. The LED will confirm its operating status.

Installation Notes & Safety

Before Installation

  • Isolate the water supply before cutting any pipework.
  • Check the flow arrow on the pump matches the direction of water flow.
  • Use pipe inserts when connecting to plastic PEX pipe.
  • Make sure the pump and electrical connections remain accessible.

After Installation

  • Restore the water supply slowly and inspect every joint.
  • Run the outlet and allow trapped air to clear.
  • Connect the pump power only after checking for leaks.
  • Confirm that the LED responds correctly when water begins to flow.

Understanding the LED Indicator

Once connected, the LED on an SP2B indicates whether the pump has power, is detecting water flow or requires attention.

LED display
Meaning
Constant light
The pump is connected to power.
Fast flashing
Water flow has been detected and the pump is running.
Slow flashing
The pump has detected a fault and should be checked.
