How Does It Work?
There are two main ways to use a Shower Power Booster to boost an unvented cylinder system. The right installation depends on whether you want to improve the whole supply or boost and protect a particular shower or tap (or both).
Boost the Whole House
We recommend a SP21S double boost on the cold feed before the cylinder. It may be easier to fit one pump just before the cylinder and one just after.
This increases the pressure and flow and it will improve the performance of any shower or tap throughout the home.
WRAS approved and legal to fit to before or after the cylinder.
Protect an Individual Shower or Tap or Multiple Showers and Taps
An SP2B can be fitted on the hot-water pipe after the cylinder to boost a particular shower or tap or multiple showers and taps.
This protects the pressure and flow to the chosen outlet when another tap or appliance elsewhere in the property uses water.
For multiple showers use multiple pumps.

If the incoming cold-water pressure drops below the minimum recommended pressure of 1.5 bars your plumber should not have fitted an unvented cylinder.
