About Unvented/Megaflow/Heat Pump

Thousands of homes with an unvented or Megaflo cylinder still get a disappointing shower. The cylinder can only give back the pressure it’s given, so if the mains coming into the house was never strong enough, the system was working against that from the day it went in. Add a long pipe run or a shower on the top floor and there’s very little left by the time it reaches you.

Whilst you’ve almost certainly been told that a sealed system can’t be pumped, that isn’t the case any more. Most pumps on the market are designed for gravity fed plumbing and genuinely can’t be used here. The Shower Power Booster is built to work on either side of an unvented cylinder, or both, which makes it the one exception.

It’s a small pump that fits onto the pipework you already have. It’s WRAS approved, which is the independent approval that says it’s been tested and passed as safe to fit to the water you drink and wash in, and it runs on 12 volts, so there’s no wiring and no electrician.

Which one you need depends on whether it’s one shower or the whole house, and which side the pressure is dropping away. Take the quiz and we’ll tell you in under a minute.
