How to fix a cold radiator when bleeding hasn’t worked
If there’s no air in it and it’s still cold, the radiator isn’t getting enough hot water. Usually it’s the one furthest from the boiler, or at the end of a long run, or up in a loft conversion or extension that was added to a system never designed to reach it. Your boiler pump gets water round most of the house and runs out of push before it gets there.
Whilst the usual quotes are for a power flush, a new pump or a new boiler, none of those change the distance the water has to travel.
Works with every heating system
A radiator booster pump works with all systems.
It’s a small pump that fits onto the flow pipe feeding the radiator that isn’t heating. It moves the water your boiler pump can’t quite push that far, so that radiator comes up to temperature with the rest of them.
V1 tucks away out of sight on the pipework, under a floor or behind the skirting. V2 fits at the radiator itself, in place of the lockshield valve. Both run on 12 volts. No rewiring and no electrician.
