Combination Boilers

Combi problems usually show up in one of two ways: the boiler cuts out part way through a shower, or one shower runs weak whenever another tap is open. The Shower Power Booster pumps can help with both water pressue problems.

About Combination Boilers

A combi boiler only fires when enough water is moving through it. If the mains coming into your house is on the low side, the boiler gives up when the household gets busy. If the flow to one particular shower or tap is poor, it won’t light for that outlet at all. Either way, it’s not really the boiler at fault. It’s the water reaching it.

Whilst you may have been told that nothing can be fitted to boost the hot side of a combi, or that it’s not allowed on a mains supply, that isn’t right. The Shower Power Booster is WRAS approved, which means it’s been independently tested and passed as safe to fit to the water you drink and wash in. It meets the UK Water Byelaws, and it can legally go on your incoming supply or the hot side from a combi, or both.

It’s a small pump that fits onto the pipework you already have. It runs on 12 volts, so there’s no wiring and no electrician.

Which one you need comes down to whether the whole house is affected or just one shower. Take the quiz and we’ll tell you in under a minute.
