The ShowerPowerBooster is WRAS and Water Regulation Approved to boost low mains pressure in the UK and Scotland. It is simple & easy to fit a SP21S after the internal stop tap.

The ShowerPowerBooster supplies the perfect flow for a single shower or tap flow and you will be able to get this water 24/7 everyday of the week provided there is water in the main.  Whilst a single boost SP2B will help, we always recommend our double boost SP21S for boosting mains water. Two pumps fitted on a loop on the incoming cold pipe after the stop tap is often the perfect solution (you create the loop yourself with 4 number 90 degree bends and straight pipe).

The two pump SP21S is a 0.5 bar automatic and 0.5 bar slave pump sold with a single 5 amp 12 volt DC transformer which plugs into a 3 pin socket. Together the pumps add up to one bar but neither pump can pull more than the legal limit of 12 litres a minute. The actual pressure will fall the more water you pump and deactivate at about 8 litres a minute.

SPB can be installed as close as is physically possible and in any order but the dog leg fitting as indicated above is a way of getting enough room to fit  two of our pumps. The ShowerPowerBooster will work anywhere in the world as it is powered by a transformer which runs from a 110 to 240 ac power supply which converts it to 12 volts, or runs directly from a 12 volt car battery.

It is illegal to pull more than 12 litres of water from the mains in the UK as it could pose a serious risk to your health and the health of your neighbours. Even if you wanted a big pump to take enough water to run 3 taps at a time please don’t do it as it not only stirs up the mains but collapses the pressure so you neighbours cannot have water (and when they do eventually get water it will probably be contaminated. This will not happen if you fit a ShowerPowerBooster.
