Description
If the pressure on your unvented system is decent until the house gets busy — and your shower fades on the hot and cold alike — then the SP22S is likely the best option for you.
On a busy morning an unvented system becomes a tug of war. Toilets fill, taps run, the washing machine draws — and your shower feels every one of them. The cylinder is fine; the feeds to your shower are simply unprotected.
Whilst you may have been told fluctuating pressure is just life on a shared main, protecting both feeds fixes it at your end.
The SP22S for unvented systems is two WRAS-approved automatic booster pumps: one on the hot feed, one on the cold. Each pump boosts its pipe and holds the flow steady when demand elsewhere tries to steal it, so the shower keeps its pressure and its temperature no matter what the house is doing. Each pump protects flow rates up to 6 L/min for showers; 8.5 L/min for mixed tap flow.
Both pumps start by themselves when water flows — no switches, nothing to turn on — run from a single 3-amp transformer, and are designed for sealed systems: WRAS approved for your home’s supply.
Q: SP22S or SP21S for my unvented system?
A: If everything runs weak all the time, lift the whole supply with the SP21S. If the pressure is decent until the house gets busy, protect the hot and cold with the SP22S. Call our team to chat it through.
Q: Can it protect just one bathroom?
A: Yes — fit the pumps on the hot and cold feeds to that bathroom and it becomes the protected room in the house.
Q: What’s in the pack?
A: Two automatic pumps, one 3-amp transformer, linking cables, and 22mm-to-15mm reducing sets.
One pump on the hot feed, one on the cold feed to the protected outlets.
