The SP1 has the same WRAS-approved booster pump as our automatic models, but you switch it on and off yourself — from a switched plug socket, a radio remote, or wired into the bathroom light or fan circuit so it comes on with the light. Because it doesn’t wait for flow, it works at negative head.
Q: How do I switch it on and off?
A: Three easy options: plug it into a switched socket, use a radio remote, or have it wired into the bathroom light or extractor fan circuit so it runs with the light. At 12 volts and 12.6 watts it’s safe and legal for all three.

Whilst boosting the hot and cold throughout a home or to an individual shower or tap a SP1 is perfect for gravity systems.
If a flushing toilet or a running cold tap makes the shower fade and boosting only the hot won’t hold it. One pump on the hot and one on the cold keeps both feeds protected, so the shower holds steady.
The SP22S for gravity systems is two WRAS-approved automatic booster pumps — one fitted on the hot feed, one on the cold. With both feeds boosted and protected, the shower holds its pressure and its temperature If your home has a cold water tank in the loft or in an airing cupboard — as many older UK homes, flats and HMOs do and— your shower pressure is set by gravity alone. The height between the tank and your shower head is all the push the water gets, and in most homes that’s only a few inches, which can make all your showers and taps feel weak.
Whilst you may have been told your only options are a bulky, expensive power shower or a new system, there is now a simpler DIY and permanent fix. In most homes it’s only the hot that’s lagging behind, so a single pump on the hot feed is all it takes to get up to four times the pressure and twice the flow. A SP22S gives you the option of boosted hot and cold showers.
Both pumps detect flow and start by themselves, share a single 3-amp transformer, and fit on the pipes after the vent pipe using the reducing sets included. WRAS approval means the UK’s independent water safety scheme has verified they’re safe for your home’s supply.
