If you have a slow dribble of water from your shower head, as little as 1.5 litres a minute - its not negative head and a Shower Power Booster will work automatically.

How Does a Negative Head System Work?
The position of the shower or tap in relation to the stored water level determines whether an installation is positive, zero or negative head.

Is Your Shower Above the Stored Water Level?
Negative head is the name given when a shower or tap is positioned above the level of a water storage tank.
In this situation a pump is required to physically pump the water up to the outlet.
The Manual Shower Power Booster pump can be used for negative, positive and zero head applications.

Switch the Pump On When You Need It
All automatic Shower Power Booster pumps can be switched to manual operation by plugging the power supply directly into the pump motor.
The pump can then be activated when required by switching on the power supply at the socket, or an electrician can connect it to the room's light switch or circuit.
Leaving the pump on when not in use will not harm it.

Suitable Pumps for Negative Head Systems
A Manual Shower Power Booster can be used for negative, zero and positive head applications. Automatic pumps can also be operated manually where required.
SP1 - Manual Pump Solution
For installations where the pump must operate independently of gravity flow. You can add a SP1U to double to boost gravity hot hot and gravity cold. Wire the transformer to come on the same time as a light switch?
SP21S - Semi Automatic Solution
A two-pump arrangement for applications where a stronger boost is required on a single supply. Having operated the pump manually, back flow from the elevated shower head can cause the flow switch to start and stop automatically.
SP22S - Fully Automatic Solution
Boost both gravity hot and mains pressure cold. Just flip the shower to cold for 2 seconds, then back to hot, and both the hot and cold are fully automatic!
