If your cold water comes straight off the mains whilst your hot comes down from a tank in the loft, the two sides of your shower were never starting from the same place. The cold arrives with real force behind it, and the hot only has the gentle fall from the tank to carry it along, so at the mixer the cold often wins. That’s why turning the dial further towards hot tends to leave you with less water rather than more, and why the temperature wanders whenever somebody runs a tap in another room.
The SP21S is two Shower Power Boosters fitted one behind the other on the same hot pipe, working together to give your hot water twice the push that a single pump can manage.
You can get the equivalent of mains pressure hot to balance mains pressure cold with a SP21S.
